For Q1 of 2018 we will be focusing on a few high priority performance upgrades, a bug fix on time code issues, a major release for iOS video users (with investigation for Android) and potentially a new OS. We will begin posting leaks and updates in our Facebook Insiders group around 2.0 where many of the roadmapped features will be grouped into a new platform experience. Stay tuned!

Completed Releases for Q1

1.7.0 - Improved Performance & Navigation

Users who rely on the box to manage a large number of files need a snappy app experience to maintain the pace of their workflow.  With 1.7.0, we’ve implemented a new architecture for file ingesting and for our app list view, making native optimizations for both platforms.

When you’re pushing your GNARBOX to the limits of its capacity, you will see these improvements at orders of magnitude.

  • (iOS+Android) See high-capacity storages (+128GB) in Thumbnail View with ease and seamlessly browse your media files by import dates, camera models, and file backup status
  • (iOS+Android) Up to 20x faster file indexing, making thousands of image and video thumbnails available in seconds
  • (iOS+Android) Robust in-app stability while connected to very large devices (16,000+ files)

Scheduled Releases for Q1

1.x.x - Timecode fix

1.x.x - RAW filetype fix

1.x.x - Release for iOS Video Users
